Under 15 Vs Manor FC

Ripley tasted defeat for the first time this season against a very good and well organised Manor FC who have strong associations with Nottingham Forest Football Club. Manor started the game very brightly and were 2 nil up in the first minutes. Ripley started to come more into the match as the game progressed and pulled a goal back through some nice play and a good finish by Cieran Gillespie this only seemed to spur Manor on and they took control and extended their lead by a further 4 goals.
Ripley improved in the second half and the game was more evenly balanced but Manor still had the edge Thomas Rankin won a penalty being brought down after a great run but unfortunately the effort  went wide of the post. Ripley created more chances but could not find their second goal a good performance against a very good side.
